As much as we all want Diamond Age "The Young Ladies' Illustrated Primer" grade personalized education, right now we're just talking about avoiding paying for educational resources by letting kids mess with shitty chatterbots.
Recall for those in the back: the trick that made it work so well in Diamond Age is that the original primer had access to _enormous external resources_ and the later copies (the ones the Mouse Army were raised with) that didn't have that were not the great liberators that the originals were.
