It's one of my very favorite pieces of writing about programming; it's so good for making people be thoughtful about computers. There are about 8-10 of those I quote regularly in classes, with "58. Fools ignore complexity. Pragmatists suffer it. Some can avoid it. Geniuses remove it." probably being the most frequent.
