Glue

Coating the underside of the stencil with rubber cement, so all the details will cling to the convex surface and make crisp edges when spray-painted. Rubber cement is nice for this kind of work because you can slop it over the edges of the stencil, then rub any excess off once set to get perfect sealed edges. Also because it is unlikely to attempt to mate permanently with the surface of the deck.
