The parts inside my hinge mechanism. The hole is drilled through, the large end of the pin perfectly fits the fourth hole in the hinge, and the small end of the pin fits through the bottom hole, but does not reach far enough to retain the arm.
I need help putting the support arm back after having the cabinet refurbished. The guy took all apart without paying attention and has now given up. I’m not sure if pieces have been lost either. Mine looks similar to the one above and I’m trying to put all together so the arm swings out when table leaf is opened and the arm returns when closed. Would you be able to help with pictures or verbiage describing this? Thx
So the pin you have is correct small one.
But there is a second longer pin and second spring to fit it.
So you should have a short pin and short spring…and a bit longer pin and second longer spring to match it.
The longer pin and spring go in hole so when shut holds mechanism arm.
The shorter pin goes on the other side of hinge so when it is shut it holds the longer pin down against mechanism arm.

I eventually found a replacement part set and not only fixed it but took some measurements to help others; thanks though!
