I've long held the opinion that, generally speaking, Dell consumer products were to be avoided while Dell Business\/Enterprise products were usually solid, and this basically makes it easier to locate the distinction; In the laptop market \"Pro and Pro Max\" are easier than \"Latitude or Precision, preferably starting with a 7.\"<\/div><p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2024\/01\/the-dell-xps-laptop-as-we-know-and-love-it-is-no-more\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ditching the traditional Dell XPS laptop look<\/a> in favor of the polarizing design of&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2022\/09\/review-dells-xps-13-plus-pulls-high-performance-from-a-frustrating-design\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">XPS 13 Plus<\/a> released <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2022\/01\/dells-xps-13-plus-brings-an-apple-touch-bar-like-experience\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in 2022<\/a>, Dell is killing the XPS branding that has become a mainstay for people seeking a sleek, respectable, well-priced PC.<\/p>\n<p>This means that there won't be any more Dell XPS clamshell ultralight laptops, 2-in-1 laptops, or desktops. Dell is also killing its Latitude, Inspiron, and Precision branding, it announced today.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, Dell computers will have either just Dell branding, which Dell&rsquo;s announcement today described as &ldquo;designed for play, school, and work,&rdquo; Dell Pro branding &ldquo;for professional-grade productivity,&rdquo; or be Dell Pro Max products, which are &ldquo;designed for maximum performance.\" Dell will release Dell and Dell Pro-branded displays, accessories, and \"services,\" it said.
