All of this might happen again(?)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The end of the Battlestar Galactica TV series just finished, and it is a satisfying end to the most impressive piece of film SciFi (distinct from <a class=\"externlink\" title=\"Go to http:\/\/www.tvweek.com\/news\/2009\/03\/sci_fi_channel_aims_to_shed_ge.php\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tvweek.com\/news\/2009\/03\/sci_fi_channel_aims_to_shed_ge.php\">syfy<\/a>, you audience-alienating douchebags) in years.  I put it on footing with <a class=\"externlink\" title=\"Go to http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Babylon_5\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Babylon_5\">Babylon 5<\/a> and <a class=\"externlink\" title=\"Go to http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Firefly_(TV_series)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Firefly_(TV_series)\">Firefly<\/a>, my other two favorite SciFi TV series.  Not going to spoil here, I usually torrent and watch later myself, and respect those who chose to.  The thing that puts it above the rest isn&#8217;t so much the premise or plot (although both are good), it&#8217;s that the acting and writing and scoring (especially the scoring) is spectacular.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s basically beyond ruin at this point, even if <a class=\"externlink\" title=\"Go to http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battlestar_Galactica:_The_Plan\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battlestar_Galactica:_The_Plan\">The Plan<\/a> (movie, tells parts of the story from the cylon&#8217;s perspective) and <a class=\"externlink\" title=\"Go to http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caprica_(TV_series)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caprica_(TV_series)\">Caprica<\/a> (TV series, tells the story of the creation of the cylons), the remaining two planned bits of the franchise are crap, it will still have been a great run, making it one of those rare TV series that is good as (far) more than background noise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The end of the Battlestar Galactica TV series just finished, and it is a satisfying end to the most impressive piece of film SciFi (distinct from syfy, you audience-alienating douchebags) in years.
